Save Indian Family Foundation, strongly and severely condemns the promotion of violence on television in general and against males in particular. As shown in the video, it is clearly evident that female is more abusive and violent than the male and it is she who initiates the trouble yet the male is abused, assaulted, insulted and humiliated to the core. Meanwhile Save Indian Family Foundation categorically and vehemently discourages the violence shown on the show by both the male and the female, what has bothered us is the stark and visible difference in attitude and acceptance levels towards violence done by women against men and that done by men against women which has led to the deplorable and despicable condition of men to the extent that suicides of men is twice the number of women as substantiated by the suicide records from National Crime Records Bureau. In first place television shows portraying and promoting violence need to be continuously discouraged, those promoting gender biased violence and sparking a gender war warrant a stringent legal penalty for committing the crime of promotion of gender based violence and spreading poison in the society. The Dadagiri show on Bindass channel shown in the above video falls is one such to fall in the above category.
It depicts the condemnable mindset of the society that violence against men by women is acceptable and marked off periodically as humor, as it was shown in the Kitply ad, while that by men against women is a recognized as punishable crime. Save Indian Family Foundation had strongly objected to the same by raising an awareness campaign against it and writing to the advertising council. In this case also we will be taking this matter to the Information and Broadcasting Ministry. Save Indian Family Foundation would like to express with regret that if the show is not taken off air we will be forced to pursue the matter legally as the law of the land permits.
